Personal Information From Children
- Registration Information – When you sign up for a ThinkFiend Account, we ask you to provide us
with personal information, such as your name, username, password, photo and email address.
To provide a personalized experience, we may ask for certain additional information such as your
location, and your interests. This information collectively is referred to as “Registration
Information.” Some of this information, including but not limited to your name and username,
will be listed publicly on our Services, including in search results.
- User Ids and Device IDs – When you install the ThinkFiend Application, we create a unique
identification number associated with that installation of the software (“User ID”). We may also
collect and store a unique device ID associated with your particular device (“Device ID”). If you
have a ThinkFiend Account, we will associate your User ID or your Device ID with your
- Personally Identifiable Information (PII) - ThinkFiend users choose to interact with ThinkFiend in
ways that require ThinkFiend to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type
of information that ThinkFiend gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. When people
sign up for ThinkFiend, we ask them to setup an account with username and email address, and
we ask them to connect social accounts and provide other information, such as location, that we
can use to help the user find interesting content and share it with their friends. In each case,
ThinkFiend collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the
purpose of the visitor’s interaction with ThinkFiend. Visitors can always refuse to supply
personally-identifying information, although doing so may prevent them from availing of the full
range of ThinkFiend’s services like personalization and sharing.
- Usage Information – We also collect information about how you use our Services, including how
you view and interact with content, advertisements, the parts of our Services that you use,
information you search for, content that you view, and actions you take such as uploading
photos, liking content, creating stacks or sending email.
- Social Network Information (Social Network Services – SNSs) – ThinkFiend enables you to interact
with Social Networking services such as Facebook and Twitter. To do so, you must provide
ThinkFiend with your account credentials for an SNS. ThinkFiend will retain those credentials,
keep them private and use them to enable your access to the SNS. When you choose to access
an SNS via the Services, ThinkFiend may collect information you’ve made public through the SNS,
such as your address, gender, user ID, list of friends. Depending on the SNS you choose to utilize
via the Services and in accordance with the privacy settings you have set in your SNS account,
you can post information to your SNS account via the Services, and information you have posted
to an SNS will be available via the Services. For example, via the ThinkFiend Application you can
access and log in to your Facebook account by entering your Facebook account credentials
through “Facebook Connect” and interact with your Facebook account via ThinkFiend. We
encourage you to read the privacy policies and other statements of the SNSs you use, as those
privacy policies will govern your interactions with such SNSs.
- Log data – When you use our Services, we automatically record information about your use (“Log
Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s or mobile device’s
Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, the webpage you were visiting before you came
to our Site, pages of our Site that you visit, access times and dates and other statistics.
Use and disclosure of information we collect
- We use information we collect, including your Registration Information, User ID and Device ID,
information from your use of our Services and SNSs to provide and improve our Services, develop
new offerings and enhance and personalize your experience on ThinkFiend, including the content
and advertising that you see.
- Personally Identifying Information - ThinkFiend discloses potentially personally-identifying and
personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated
organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on ThinkFiend’s behalf
or to provide services available at ThinkFiend’s services, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose
it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located
outside of your home country; by using ThinkFiend’s services, you consent to the transfer of such
information to them. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as
described above, ThinkFiend discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-
identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental
request, or when ThinkFiend believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to
protect the property or rights of ThinkFiend, third parties or the public at large.
- We may use your Registration Information to send you important messages regarding the
Services, as well as marketing materials that we think may be of interest to you. If you decide at
any time that you no longer wish to receive marketing communications from us, please follow
the unsubscribe instructions provided in those communications.
- Information You Share. Our Services are designed to enable that sharing. That means that in
most cases, the actions you take on the Services, will be viewable by other users. When you
create a ThinkFiend account, your username and photo, the content you like or include in a
magazine, and comments that you post will all be public by default.
- With Your Consent. We may disclose any information we collect with third parties when we
receive your consent to do so.
- Non-Private or Non-Personal Information. From time to time, we may disclose aggregated and
non-personally identifiable information that we collect in the form of trend reports. Any such
disclosure will not include non-public, personal information regarding individual users.
- Services Providers. We employ third parties to assist us in providing and improving the Services
(e.g., without limitation, maintenance, database management and web analytics companies). If
these third parties receive non-public, personal information about you, they will be obligated not
to disclose or use it for any purpose other than to perform tasks on our behalf.
- Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement. ThinkFiend cooperates with government and law
enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We will disclose
any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we,
in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process
(including but not limited to subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of ThinkFiend or a
third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person or to prevent or restrict what we
consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity.
- Business Transfers - If ThinkFiend, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the
unlikely event that ThinkFiend goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would
be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such
transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of ThinkFiend may continue to use your personal
information as set forth in this policy.
- Unless otherwise disclosed during collection and with parent or
guardian consent, ThinkFiend does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children
under 13 years of age. If you are under 13 years of age you should not provide personally identifiable
information to ThinkFiend without providing us with consent from your parents.
Cookies and other technologies
- A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s
computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. ThinkFiend

follow different rules regarding the use or disclosure of the personal information you submit to them. We
do not exercise control over third party websites or services.
Termination or Deactiviation
- Following termination or deactivation of your ThinkFiend account,
ThinkFiend its clients, affiliates, or its service providers may retain information (including your profile
information) and user content for a commercially reasonable time for backup, archival, and/or audit
